With the start of beautiful warm weather here in Portland comes another great PM meet-up! We’ll be at Postano on Tuesday, May 12th for this month’s event.
Working remotely, or with remote teams and clients is a simple reality of project management these days. However, that doesn’t always mean it’s easy. Just like other aspects of project management, working with remote teams is a skill to be built through time and experience.
Therefore, this month we’re talking about Digital Project Management from a distance. We’ll address how location impacts our projects and our ability to project manage for better or worse. As we’ve done in the past, we’ll break into three different groups for our discussion portion. Choose the one that best fits your interest.
Breakout groups will cover three related topics:
- Project Management Success within Remote Organizations: How do we best manage projects within partially or fully remote organizations?
- Effectively Project Managing Freelancers and Contractors: They don’t answer to the same rules as other team members, but that doesn’t change the deliverable for which you’re responsible.
- Project Management and the Distant Client: Benefits and drawbacks to clients in other cities (or countries) when it comes to successfully shipping your projects.
Please RSVP on our Eventbrite page, and save your spot! Hope to see you all on Tuesday, May 12th at 5:30pm.
